Our Team

Who We Are

Big Foot Studios began in 2020 as Big Foot Foley. Shane Rees, with a background in Foley, decided to return to the craft after a hiatus of several years. He teamed up with Javier Gonzalez and Tim McCann to focus on providing Foley for film and TV, maintaining a small, boutique approach.

Shortly after launching, the COVID pandemic hit, prompting them to broaden their horizons and start working with video game companies. Their first major project was Horizon Forbidden West, a massive undertaking where they completed the Foley for 24 hours of cutscenes in just 9 months.

During this time, they decided to expand their services, adding editing and mixing to their offerings. They later included technical audio implementation and were more recently responsible for all the sound design, Foley, and sound implementation for the remaster of the video game Until Dawn.

VAUGHN WAGNER

Sound Designer

Vaughn has a natural connection to sound, having grown up as the son of a professional Foley artist. His real interest and passion for audio didn't truly ignite until his late teenage years, when he began making music, recording, and helping friends with the sound for their films. From there, his focus shifted toward video games. After completing his studies at the Vancouver Film School’s Sound Design program, he jumped straight into the gaming world, doing audio—and he’s never looked back.
